As they head to a wayang kulit show, a workaholic father’s growing impatience with his young son’s antics is interspaced with memories of his domestic violence-filled childhood.

Our production designer has illustrated the film using different artistic styles. The first, to resemble the real world and with the other, she sought inspiration from the shadows cast by the puppets in wayang kulit theater.

In this film, we look at the theme of domestic violence and how control, or lack of it, is at the heart of this issue. We also focus on how telling one’s story can be a form of catharsis.
